XELTA is a new project from New York and a collaboration between Bliscord (real name Bruno Coviello) and Sharlese Metcalf whom you might know from KEXP. Sharlese hosts the show Mechanical Breakdown and also DJs around the globe. I was lucky enough to see one of her sets last year in Berlin. B.D.S.M. is the title of their debut EP, which came out in July on Körperspannung (the label run by American producer Bézier. The 5-track 12” consists of 80s-flavoured EBM with all the vocals handled by Sharlese. There are a couple of remixes included too, but I really prefer the original versions. If you liked the new 12” from Tawny, you are sure to dig this record as well.
