16 Underground a four-piece from Texas who have mostly played in punk bands before. But in 2024 they debuted with a 12” informed more by triphop and 90s sounds. Their new EP called Without a Trace is coming out Sunday Drive Records in mid-August and sees them honing their skills with 5 tracks of dreamy and filmy sounds that remind me of that great SY3 record from back in March. Sunday Drive is a local San Antonio label that seems to have a huge back catalogue of dreampop and shoegaze-inspired bands I’ve never heard of.
