London-based artist Great Area are finally back with new music. After last year’s album which was great but also more abstract than I maybe expected, the EP called Love is a return to the pop song format. The opening track reminds me a lot of Carla dal Forno and the closing track is a quietly ingenious take on ”Alone Again Or” from Love’s Forever Changes (1967). There’s also a video for it, which you can watch below. But my personal favourite of the 3 new tracks is middle one, with a great lyric about cutting ties.
