Baby Buddha

RECORD TURNOVER 80s HITS #148

This post has been a long time coming. It was over a year ago now that Baby Buddha’s 1981 oddity Music For Teenage Sex was reissued. The LP came out on singer David Javelosa’s own label Hyperspace Communications with the new title Music For Teenage Sects. The group was a side project to Los Microwaves and had the same lineup except for vocalist and guitarist Charles Hornday. Half of the record consists of weird covers of 50s and 60s classics like “Your Cheatin’ Heart” by Hank Williams.
