Industrial Coast continue their excellent compilation series Women Invented Noise, Not Industrial Coast. It’s been 1,5 years since the last volume, but now the third one is here. The 22 tracks on the tape highlight non-male artists and producers making all kinds of different noises. From local Newcastle punks Paydar to the industrial sounds of Mad Girl that are typical to the label’s roster.
Berlin-based Bridget Ferrill (pictured), who just played at Intonal festival together with Áslaug Magnúsdóttir, also contributes a track. Nail Club, Permanent, Doris Dana and Jo Montgomerie are all worth checking out and all the proceeds go Action Aid, so be generous if you have the means.
