Women’s Hour is an experimental post-punk duo from Glasgow that consists of Jenny Wicks and Murray CY, who also runs Contort Yourself. Last year they put out their first album on the celebrated New York label L.I.E.S.. It’s a self-titled LP with 12 amazing tracks that mix hastily programmed drum loops with lofi guitar and/or bass. Their mostly spoken vocals are buried under static and echoes and you can really feel the influence of 80s Underground Cassette Culture that CY compiled.
