Heartworms is a new South London band helmed by singer and songwriter Jojo Orme. Well, their first single appeared in 2020. Now it’s got a companion in the angsty “Consistent Dedication” which reminds me a lot of early Altered Images. It’s dark post-punk with a flair for the dramatic, as you can see in the accompanying video. The single dropped very recently without any hints as to whether there is an album or EP coming soon. Couldn’t be more different from the American mid-90s group of the same name.
