Phil & the Tiles proves that Naarm can still churn out new post-punk groups with shocking quality of songwriting. It’s a new six-piece, debuting on Anti Fade with a self-titled EP in a few weeks. The 4-track 45 shows proof of influences from The Fall and modern Aussie groups like The Shifters and The Snakes – who are equally enamoured by the spoken vocals and spiky guitars of that era. Really love the cover art for this record as well.
