Here’s one from last year that we never got around to mentioning, but considering its quality it’s more than worth its place here. Church Group is a new duo from Perth, Australia, who released their very first cassette last summer. The self-titled EP came out on local label Helta Skelta and includes 5 great synth-pop tracks verging on coldwave. The duo of Chris and Caitee have previously played in punk acts like Gaffer and their sound is quite similar to Syzygy from Melbourne.
