Out of Baltimore, Maryland, comes the duo of Nora Button and Cash ML, called Caution. Caution put out their first single a couple of years ago and recently signed to Born Yesterday from Chicago. Their self-titled EP was released in February and has been growing on me slowly. The sound is very 90s, with Thowing Muses guitars and melodies out of the Stone Roses playbook. The drum machine is the exception, adding a mechanical cool to the 6 tracks on the EP. Closing track “Swallow” is perhaps the most beautiful, and could almost have been recorded by Slowdive.
