Brisbane band Blank Realm seemed to have disappeared into the ether, but I just realised they put out an album on Hobbies Galore about a year ago whilst looking through the label’s releases. As far as Blank Realm albums go, this one is an odd one out with a largely electronic sound with next to no vocals. Last Seen is the like catching a fleeting glimpse of someone you used to know from across a heavily trafficked street. You’d kind expect them to have changed and you’re a bit impressed too. Like I am with the 10-minute long “Revanche” that opens up the b-side. This record is great, but me and Blank Realm probably won’t be best friends again.
