Perhaps the best goth release of the year – well maybe I haven’t heard that many to be honest. But Sin Offering is one of those bands that just seems to nail a specific sound and even though I don’t know much about them other than that they’re made up of Chris, Madeleine and Albert (the latter being Albert Limones of Austin groups Altar of Eden and Nosferatu) I must say Charnel House is essential. The 4-track tape came out on Limones’ label Sound Grotesca during the summer and blends elements of punk and metal with 80s post-punk.
