Aya Gloomy from Tokyo follows up her excellent album Tokyo Hakai from 2021 with a new single. She actually had a single out last year that I missed – “Iro Iro” came out on Mahne Frame’s label 21 N Fun. The new tracks “Shiro” and “Kuro” came out in January, also on 21 N Fun and were accompanied with a video for the latter. The sound is still Aya’s signature alloy of post-punk, hyperpop and 90’s rnb.
