Trust an Australian to take his artist name from a car. Mikey Melas, or Jensen Interceptor, is one of the most prolific producers and remix creators from his current base in Berlin. This year he has continued his string of amazing collaborative releases, with DJ Fuckoff but also the Irish producer Defekt (real name Matthew Flanagan). Two 12″s have appeared in Tresor’s 30th anniversary series – the first one in May. Free Your Mind is probably my favourite with its 5 tracks of electrifying breaks. Free Your Body followed about a month ago with 5 more dance-inducing tracks.
