Melbourne group Surprise Chef quickly went from local scensters to a worldwide phenomenon when Mr Bongo signed them prior to their second album. Now they are back with a new record and new label, the Brooklyn soul and funk lovers Big Crown. “Velodrome” backed with “Spring’s Theme” actually came out on a 45 back in May – but fear not, both tracks are included on Education & Recreation, which drops next month.
