Progromo was a short-lived solo project of German artist Bernd Zimmermann, who also played in bands like Add, Deutchdenck and Isolierband. Red Lounge Records, together with Bachelor Records from Austria, have unearthed a bunch of tunes recorded by Zimmermann in Düsseldorf in 1982 and released four of them on two 45s that came out a few days ago. “Heute schlägt der Bauer den König” is a great single that contains elements of NDW and post-punk, with programmed drums and guitars that sound like early Cure stuff. “Im Zentrum der Macht” is a bit more punk, and the b-sides are both really good too.

Make sure you check out the 2016 reissue of Isolierband on Red Lounge as well.
