Pitva is another new project from Vienna involving Robert Pawliczek (Heavy Metal, Privat, Bobby Would) and Zmil (of Parasite Dreams), as well as Rosa Nebel. Similarly to Parasite Dreams, they’ve taken inspiration from metal – in this case early black metal. Put in a hardcore context, it works surprisingly well on the first preview track “Past”. Pitva means autopsy in Czech and several of the 9 tracks on their debut album have titles in that language. The LP is out on German label Static Age a month from now.
