Operating Theatre

Operating Theatre were based in Dublin, making music with synthesizers, samplers and performing experimental theatre. The group was led by avantgarde musician Roger Doyle, and also included Olwen Fouéré who later became and actor in Hollywood. In 1983 they released their debut album Miss Mauger on Kabuki Records, a British label focused on Irish musicians. It wasn’t very well-known until Irish label Allchival (a sub label to All City) gave it the reissue treatment in 2019.

Prior to that the double-cd set The Early Years had been released, as an anthology documenting their 1981-88 period. They got back together in 1998 as a theater group.
