DJ Loser has brought fellow Greek artist Penelope’s Fiance onboard of the first solo artist release on the Magdalena’s Apathy label. The cd only release Prince of Streets takes a similar approach as some of Anatolian Weapons’ work, in incorporating elements of traditional middle-eastern music into an electronic soundscape. While commenting on contemporary political matters, as with “Impact of Terror”, the percussion transports the listener straight to scenes where these crimes are taking place daily. Perhaps the album title is also a nod to the Moroccan films Prince of the Streets, which is about a group of homeless boys.
