Inoyamaland is a Japanese ambient duo who have been making music since the early 80s. In 1983 they released the Haruomi Hosono-produced Danzindan-Pojidon, which has become a classic of Japanese environmental music widely known as Kankyo Ongaku since Light In the Attic’s defining compilation. Inoyamaland are still making new music, their latest release being the Swiva album out on ExT Recordings a month ago. With titles like “Coconut Sabre” and “Dark Cherry”, these are comforting tracks with a warm analogue sound.
