Jonathan Personne is the solo project of one of the members of Montreal group Corridor. Corridor released a pop-psych album on Sub Pop last year but the first Jonathan Personne LP also came out via RPUT. While Histoire naturelle had a bit of a dream-pop thing going, new album Disparitions is a far more accomplished work, firmly entrenched in Strawberry Fields psychedelia refracted through through the folk of Polnareff. The ten tracks are sung in French and are just as good as Corridor at their very best. Out on Michel Records four months ago.
