Ruby Haunt

I was a big fan of Ruby Haunt’s album from last year, which sounded like a dusted off indie album from 1993. Lofi, dreamy and full of well-written songs from the LA duo of Wyatt Ininns and Viktor Pakpour. More than your typical sad white boy fare, they’ve once again proven their worth on new album Tiebreaker that they released on vinyl in July by themselves. It’s a great night drive album, with eight fairly long songs that sound like an updated version of Red House Painters. It’s less dreampop this time and more… slowcore?
