It’s been almost a year since we last checked in with Sydney duo Party Dozen. Back then they had just released the first single from Pray For Party Dozen, which finally came out on Grupo a couple of weeks ago. The latest single “Auto Loser” even got a remix from Mogwai. It’s a brilliant album of experimental rock inspired by everything from Can and Sun Ra to At the Drive-In. Not without its moments of beauty either, such as the welcome reprieve of closing track “Shit Faced”. Pray… is surprisingly different from their previous album, but doesn’t disappoint for a second.
