Kt Spit is an artist and electronic musician from Melbourne. Also known as Katie Collins, she released a great album back in 2015. After a string of extravagant singles, with videos as ambitious as many short films of recent years – e.g. Signe Pierce’s American Reflexxx – she released her second album in December. Kt Spit’s most recent video is “Shells In the Night”, which features her friend Racerage on vocals. The rest of the album also has appearances from Geryon and Autumn Royal. Some of Kill the King reminds me off a more laidback Cowgirl Clue. Closing track “Candy Lee” even sounds like a Julie Ruin track.
