Dye

This may look like the cover of a NIN record – it isn’t. Oakland quartet Dye just really like the 90s. Like really really like the 90s. Just like Froth, they’ve layered guitars on top of each other and moved the drums to the back of the mix here on the Psychic Data EP. Pretty long for EP, it’s almost 30 minutes long – which is more than many albums we’ve written about here this year. It’s still an enjoyable listen with many twists and turns. Opening track “Tilt” is the best one of the lot. Get it on tape from Copper Mouth.
