Remember the great Brisbane band Major Leagues? Well, Jaimee Fryer from that group is about to release an EP with her new project Pool Shop. What started as a solo project in 2016 has now evolved to a full band as she’s added members from Holiday Party, Blonde Tongues and the now defunct Major Leagues. “Shooting Star” is the first music anyone’s heard from her since 2017 and it’s also Pool Shop’s first proper studio recording. Anyone who likes Hatchie will probably appreciate the sound on this track (Fryer actually collaborated with Joe Agius from Hatchie on her early recordings).
