Cable is an artist from Oklahoma that I discovered through last year’s EP Magic World which he released himself. It was an interesting take on post-club music and heavy electro with pop sensibilities. This year, Cable’s first vinyl release appeared on Dallas label Prime. Together with Pretence from Australia Cable has cut a beast of a track called “Deadweight” influenced by Detroit techno. I also really like some of the many digital singles Cable has unleashed in 2020, like the dark electro of “Sleepwalker” from last month (check out the video) and the Nite Jewel-flavoured “Closer”.
