One of many highlights at the Kontext 2-year anniversary in Berlin last month was the live debut of buttechno & Triš (pictured above). This duo of Pavel Milyakov’s preceded his work with Ugnė Uma, whom he appeared with at Rewire this year. Together with Ukrainian artist Oleksandra Trishyna, or Triš, they created an album called In Your Head three years ago. In August they followed it up with the 12-track cd the spirit. This is a masterful collection of dub, triphop, breaks and ambient. The crowd was blown away, or at least I was, especially with the beautiful closing track “wings”. Out via , and still in print by the looks of it.
Check out the little interview Kontext did with them before the show.
