HKKPTR is a Leipzig producer and one half of the brilliant Rennhorse duo (together with Maison Hefner). Way back Peter Juckeland made dark electro under this alias but like many others, he’s now become entrenched in the electro house resurgence. His latest EP is called EDM Is the New Trance and came out via Angelz in April. There’s nothing remotely serious about these 6 tracks, which the label rightly calling it a ”love letter to the raw energy of the early 2000s and the subcultures that defined a generation”. Listen and decide for yourself, but I’m sold.
