Kruu is an American artist who makes music in the Soundcloud era style, mixing elements of soft 90s r’n’b, dreampop and hyperpop. I’ve been listening to her music a lot recently, like her album Love’s Not War from last year which also features the artists Mymy and Streety. She also put out a new single in November together with Beau. Kruu or Clara Jiminez is from Atlanta but also spends a lot of time in Japan, and has a strong fascination for anime and the Japanese language. In fact Kruu is a play on how the Japanese say Clara (Kurara).
