Four years ago we featured German group Nostalgie Éternelle in our 80s HITS series. They had their own cassette label called One Last Dream and issued five volumes of Compilation of Released Tracks. There were also a bunch of split releases, since the members were deeply entrenched in the DIY tape scene at the time not just in Germany but all over Europe. One was shared with the amazing British duo From Nursery to Misery for example.
London label Infinite Expanse have gathered tracks released via such cassettes and created the new compilation At That Time (that time being 1989-90). It came out yesterday and I’ve already ordered my copy. The label compares them to Nocturnal Emissions or Das Ding so if you are into that kind of stuff these 12 tracks, remastered from the original tapes and available on vinyl for the first time, should get you quite excited too.
