San Fran duo Loveshadow had me grooving hard to their debut on Music From Memory a couple of years ago. I couldn’t be more thrilled to hear that they’re now working with Dark Entries and will be releasing the follow-up in November. Anya Prisk and Izaak Schlossman met in Oakland several years ago and II was also produced by themselves between 2021 and 2023. The 7-track LP is said to be more club-friendly but I also love the languid funk of opener “Last Room”. Even though many groups (like L’Imperatrice) have been delving into 80s disco and cosmic sounds lately their sound is still truly unique.
