Today I want to bring your attention to two fantastic compilations – one from right here in Malmö, the other from the other side of the globe. Starting with new label CPE, they bring some of the best local talent in electronic music together for their inaugural release. CPE 001 is a 6-track cd with contributions from My Gander, Jidder, Araknyl (previously of Morph) and Rut Fessler. The latter two appear with a new project called Vomb. Carapace and Skintravel are new names to me but their tracks are also fine specimens of trance/weird techno. Best of all, perhaps, is the artwork.
