Franciska is the latest project of Jonas Torstensson, now based in Copenhagen. Last month their new album Tryghed came out via Swedish label Discreet Music and it’s a wonderful piece of experimental music and sound collage. Connected to the Forlaget Kornmod label, Torstensson has previously release a bunch of music under different names “often in very limited cassette editions with barely no distribution”. The a-side consists of one long piece with five more on the other. Titles like “Lyd Fra Et Vindue Og Duft Af Det Tidlige Forår” (sounds from a window and smell of early spring) should give you an idea of the musical leanings here.
