Asymmetrical is the nom-de-plume of Italian producer Giovanni Inglese and the founder of idiosyncratic Rome record label Raw Culture. A couple of months ago his second album came out via the Spanish label Fill-Lex. On Overwhelmed, Inglese’s love for dark and grimy textures becomes apparent, as its 5 new tracks pushes in different directions. The four remixes (from the likes of Anna Funk Damage and Soj) only brings the LP slightly closer to dance floor territory.
