Marci is the first solo record from Tops member Marta Cikojevic from Montreal. Taking on the name Marci, Cikojevic has created a lush sonic world full of synths that act as pillows and disco clouds on her self-titled debut. This 11-track LP is available from Arbutus in a couple of days and feels very much like it could have been a new Tops record (who are on the same label). Hopefully Marci will take this new record on the road – it really was too long since Tops played in Europe.
