Canadian pop group Alvvays have announced that they will be releasing their next album Blue Rev on Transgressive in October. While still far away, they’ve shared a video for the first single “Pharmacist”. It’s been five years since the last album and they now have a new drummer and bass player onboard. Blue Rev was recorded in a different way to previous records, where the arrangements have been layered on top of basic live takes of each number. This creates a dense and lush sound, as you can hear on the shoegazey single.
