Virgo Lucifera might be one of the last great releases of 2021 that I missed. Released in the last days of December, it got buried amongst all the great releases I tried to catch up with. Created by Colombian artist and producer Marea, it was released by Pildoras as a limited cassette. One of the 4 tracks on the EP features Ana Gartner on vocals and the releases is rounded out by four remixes from the likes of Gaël and Magnum Opus. In the label’s own words she’s “one of the most important female DJs and producers from Medellin”. I’m inclined to agree.
