American producer Dalibor Cruz turned out to be one of the revelations of last year – with releases on both Natural Sciences and Chicago Research. Now he’s back on the US label with a mini-album called 21 De Agosto, Macaruya. The 7 tracks lack titles but I assume there were recorded in one day. Macaruya is a place in Honduras, Cruz ancestral home.
As usual the tracks present a stunning command of both texture and rhythm.
