Circuit des Yeux dropping a new album is a massive event for me, considering how it’s been four years since they released the amazing Reaching For Indigo and two years since that awe-inspiring solo performance at Alice in Copenhagen. Even if Haley Fohr from Chicago did make an excellent album as Jackie Lynn last year, -io sees a long-awaited return to her main musical project. Fohr has now signed to Matador and is on a clear cut path to bigger things. The lead single “Dogma” establishes a commanding presence with a percussion-driven relentlessness. The album is out in October.
