Here’s one of the better kept secrets among this year’s punk releases. I got tipped about Taqbir by a friend who heard about them from another nerd and this Moroccan hardcore punk band have now made the rounds on youtube and reddit, catching the ears of La vida es un mus. The self-titled EP from February just got a 7″ release with the new title Victory Belongs to Those Who Fight For a Right Cause. These four tracks are sung in Moroccan Arabic and the band name means “grave”.
