Mug is a new duo from Melbourne consisting of siblings Lily and Sam Harding. Sam also plays in 2-Stroke and both of them are in Gamjee. The self-titled EP Mug is coming out on tape via local label Tiny Town Records in a few weeks. You can listen to one of the 7 tracks now, called “Brace Yourself”, which is a suggestive ballad moving along slowly to a synthesizer drone. Lily Harding’s vocal is what ties the tune together, creating a sound not too dissimilar from Mystery Guest. The rest of the tape was created with drum machines, acoustic guitar, cello and field recordings by the musicians in their own homes.
