Poladroïd

Poladroïd is a new Belgian artist making synthesizer-based electro that channels some of the country’s New Beat tradition. Detriti Records have just released the 5-track EP Eurosiberie, which indeed feels like a mix between Trans-Europe Express and Soviet wave. There’s even a track called “Русалка” which should mean mermaid in Russian. There are vocals on some of the tracks, but they mainly add atmosphere since they’re so distorted no words are audible.
