Violet is a Portuguese producer who also runs the label Naive (who have just about the best logo in the industry) and its digital sister label Naivety. Inês Borges Coutinho, who is Violet, was born in Lisbon and has been making music for almost 10 years, but the amazing debut album Bed of Roses first appeared in 2019 when Dark Entries put it out. This year saw the release of the massive retrospective Archives 2012-2020, but then a month ago a new EP called Espírito came out. The 12″ is the first Violet record on Naive for years and lives up to high expectations with experimental techno and house elements. There’s also a remix from Eris Drew.
