It’s been a while since we last heard from LA group La Luz. Now they’re back with a new digital single for Numero Group. The single is a cover of “Tale of My Lost Love”, originally recorded by Female Species in the 60s. Part of the EP are also three original songs by Female Species, the 60s original of “Tale of My Lost Love” as well as two country songs from the 80s. Strangely enough the group never released anything during their long career, at least not until Numero Group released a retrospective compilation of 29 of their songs earlier this year. La Luz recently released a live album recorded last year, called Live From the Black Hole, which is available for free from their bandcamp.
