Sara Gernsbacher is an LA-based artist and musician, who is currently making music as Mayako XO. Their first proper album XO came out on Post Present Medium last year, but has only just been released on vinyl. The sparse 10-track LP was first promoted with a video for “Let Her”, which reminds me closely of Cat Power. The rest of the record has a bit more of an open feel, but always focused on the Gernsbacher guitar and easily recognisable vocal.
