Israeli artist PRZ debuts for Hilltown Disco with a new 12″ next month, called Red Material. The title sets the music in space age world, perhaps orbiting Mars, and the six tracks are my favourite work from him so far. “Flight Mode” and “Laser Quest” are both captivating electro cuts with an impressive range of sounds and great dynamics. “Touchdown” flirts a bit with 80s synth-pop and closes what is the small Scottish label’s ninth release so far. So many great new labels from there now, including Schematic, Idlestates and Source Material.
