The many months of lockdown have been hard on bands in Melbourne and the rest of Australia, where they are reliant on a live scene to promote their music, and where labels rely on local pressing plants. Some bands have chosen to release music themselves, in a digital format. Romero is one of them, presenting their new single “Troublemaker” on bandcamp. I remember this tune very well from their shows and it has an incredible chorus melody. Or a minor lift, in songwriting terms, as they say themselves. Can’t wait to get this on a vinyl pressing.
