Italian label Slow Motion have just released a great set of compilations called Italian Synth Planetarium. Across three volumes that appeared over a month’s time, they have collected some of the best Italian electronic music from around the world. Drawing both on their back catalogue but also on previously unheard artists. A few years ago they did a similar series of compilations called Italian Dance Wave over 8 LPs, which has now become synonymous with this music. This time it’s digital only (sadly) but so many great tracks from the likes of Alessandro Adriani, Altieri and Motorcycle Boy.
