LA Takedown

Aaron Olson is an LA-based musician inspired by 80s soundtracks, indeed getting his artist name LA Takedown from the 1989 movie. His latest album comes to us via the Castle Face label and features an appearances from Yukihiro Takahashi of Yellow Magic Orchestra. It’s called Our Feeling of Natural High and each title on the record could have been a movie. “Top Down, Heater On” was originally written for his very first release on Burger. This being the band’s fourth album, you can tell that they’ve honed their craft – sometimes sounding like Mildlife or Yuji Toriyama. It came out two weeks ago so hurry if you want to get the limited edition with an extra flexi (including the non-album title track).
